We started at 8am for a 3 hour drive to Paris from Le Harve port. We drove around in the tour bus seeing sites until 1:00 then had two hours dropped off near Notre Dame Cathedral to eat and shop.

Vigeland Sculpture Park WARNING: Nudity Alert
All my pix from the Vigeland Park.
Gustav Vigeland as a young sculpturer asked the City of Oslo to fund his artistic lifes work and after some convincing was given this spacious piece of land to plan and develop into the immense work of art that it turned out to be.
He left the figures nude because he wanted them timeless and to capture the real sense of human development through life. None of the figures are erotic but symbolic of different stages of life.

Stavanger Norway
Stavanger is another cool town built on a hillside. You have the Old Stavanger, the white houses in front and the newer apt and office buildings behind.

We spent most of our time in the Bryggen district. The German area of Hanseatic merchants who fished here and sold the oil and dried fish in Germany.

Alesund Norway
Adorable buildings and shops in this hillside town. I wasn't excited to go to Norway. I know little about it, but it is so charming! This little city way up north has cobblestone streets, colorful houses, very stylish people and a Viking history.

Day 1
Its only 9:30 am and it feels like we've been going for an entire day already.
We're sitting in the San Francisco airport waiting out our four hour layover! >.< But we're one step closer to the desired destination!
We're not quite sure how often we'll find wifi while on international land, so posts may be scarce, but we will try to post to our blog and our instagram (#finallyaworldtraveler) as much as possible. :)

13 Days til we sail!!!!
So, packing, trying not to panic. I am so excited I can't see straight.
I have compiled my vacation notebook.
First, tips for packing and extras to take that I would never have thought of, thanks to travel blogs and forums on cruisecritic.com.
Then a divider for each port. I printed the excursions through the ship and fact sheets about each port. Makes it easier to decide whether you need to book through the cruise line or can go it on your own.
In each tab, you can put any tickets you buy and print out ahead of time.
